What a great idea.

Designer Dom Trapp’s Quad is a modular and decorative storage system. A bookcase, a night table, a stool, a column of bathroom storage, a coffee table… The Quad fits together to suit your needs - you can easily change the composition by adding or removing blocks at any time, without tools. The basic module is a perfect cube of 350 mm in length, width and height, made of 100% recyclable 2 mm thick steel. Each piece comes from a single sheet of metal cut & folded with precision and then lacquered in the oven. On all sides of the cube, you can easily attach other cubes and design your custom storage system.

Taking inspiration from its own Ptolomeo and Ptolomeo Wall book shelf designs (pictures below the fold), the Italian designers at MOCO have applied the same space-saving, hidden shelving ethic to "Ex Libris," the table whose legs double as book storage. A great companion to Bookinist and Bibliochaise -- two chairs with a similar goal of combining seating and storage -- Ex Libris was unveiled last month at Maison & Objet in France.
