renzo piano's reconstruction of atelier brancusi

All my life I have been drawn to the work of the sculptor Constantin Brancusi (1876-1957). His original studio near Montparnasse, Paris was torn down soon after his death, but Renzo Piano recreated it in this building, situated in Centre Pompidou,

to showcase the sculptor’s works in as close to their original light as

when they were created, complete with the all-important north-facing

window walls/sky lights…
