Solistone, Stones, Surfaces & Architectural Elements, based in Los Angeles, is one of the largest importers and distributors
of fine paving, exterior and decorative stone products in the U.S. They
carry porphyry, granite, pebbles, antique terra cotta tiles, roof and
floor tiles, rare natural stone, and glass and metal mosaics. There’s
more, of course.

henrybuilt, a Seattle-based manufacturer of modern kitchen systems and storage solutions, has recently launched their “whole house” line and opened their new flagship showroom in Seattle. Often compared in the press to Bulthaup and Boffi, they have quickly risen in status for the beauty and quality of their product. I’m only posting one picture, because there are just too many to choose from. Everything they make is just gorgeous.

Interesting company: Cph Square was founded in 1999 by the two brothers Martin and Flemming Madsen in Copenhagen. ‘The idea was to re-event the kitchen as a piece of furniture’. They’ve now got a showroom in London, as well (none in the States, yet). They do gorgeous kitchens and baths, and they also represent: Molo, Floor to Heaven, Kasthall, De La Espada, Autobahn, Flos, Pallucco, Flexform,Tom Dixon, Unique Interiør, Vola, Blanco, Unidrain, Gaggenau, Desalto, Mirage, Mosa, Gutmann, Durat, Sunnin, Casanni, Established & Sons and Gateway to Japan.

Designer Lincoln Kayiwa’s description:
The sterling silver TUKAANI is a hand made eating device for Asian food consumers in the West.It may be held as traditional chopsticks. But unlike the disposable wooden chopsticks, TUKAANI is hand washable and much easier to set on – and use at table. The matt surface and taut movement allow steady grip in the hand. The curl at the end of the TUKAANI provides eased food picking and delivery to the mouth. The loop also allows easier hanging, storage and display. The Toucan’s bill provided inspiration for this cutlery project.

By High Tech. Cool, huh? I like just about everything these guys make.

Cast iron farmhouse drainboard sink with legs is an authentic reproduction of the original farmhouse drainboard sink found throughout the United States. The sink is 5′ long with 12″ backsplash and features 8″ center faucet holes. The sink has a 6″ apron in the front and an overall projection of 20″ from the wall. The big improvement over the originals is that this sink has been enlarged to 9 1/2″ deep, 24″ long and 17″ wide with 18″ of drainboard on each side of the sink. From Van Dyke’s Restorers

This excellent floor pattern was put together with remnant pieces of linoleum left over from a range of projects. Very cool pattern and smart waste use. Above the parts are laid loose for a test fit.
